Taiwan Trip
06/03/10 - 12/03/10
- Day 6 -
so fast... it's the 6th day... our last day of visiting interesting places in Taiwan... our flight back to KL on the next day was an early flight !!!
had buffet breakfast again at the hotel... the hotel was so big, we need to walk over to the other building for breakfast...
breakfast time...
a pic outside the hotel...
more people joined me...
nice ???
our first place to visit was the National Palace Museum... spent almost an hour plus there... but we're not allowed to take any photos inside there... :P
next, we went to a shop for a free fortune telling session... but they're actually selling their products - "pi xiu" at a very expensive price...
we're taught to touch this "pi xiu" correctly for prosperity and wisdom...
then, it was time for lunch at a special restaurant inside a man-made cave called Five Cent Driftwood Restaurant...
the cave behind them...
Mum with one of the decorations inside the restaurant...
a pic while waiting for our table...
there's a mochi for everyone of us...
a big table for us....
steamed rice with some sweet potatoes...
9 dishes altogether... YUMMY !!
and a fruit platter....
it's a toilet... !!
there's a boat inside the restaurant too...
a pic of me outside the cave...
after lunch, we quickly went to Taipei 101 shopping mall... but we only have approx. 1 hour to spend there cos we have a few more places to visit...
buying tickets for the observatory at 88th floor....
Taipei 101...
beautiful view of Taipei city...
so happy ?!
beautiful lights on our feet... it changes when we walked on it...
this 900kg stone inside the building... to stabilize the tall building...
last pic before we joined the rest of our group...
bye bye, Taipei 101...
next stop, Martyr's Shrine...
waiting for the youngsters to explore the place...
then, we quickly went to the next destination - Shihlin Official Residence, home of the late President Chiang Kai Shek...
a complete group photo....
was that the face of Chiang Kai Shek ???
the Chang siblings...
the cousins...
next, we rushed to another place, but i forgotten the name.. :P
it's to witness the ceremony of soldiers changing shift...
once he step his foot up there, he was not allowed to move, or even sneeze... or else, he will got fined and jailed for 7 days... scary !!
so fast, it's dinner time... we had it at a restaurant called "Hai Ba Wang"....
9 dishes - glutinous rice, spring rolls, 2 types of soups, prawns again... vegetables and fish...
longevity pao...
our last stop for the day was the famous Shih Lin Night Market... but we're already very tired and full by then... so we didn't really explore the night market...
most of us played these machines to fill up our time... it cost us RM1 per catch... few of us managed to grab some of the goodies...
it's already 9pm.... we quickly checked-in to our last hotel - U Hotel !! the most special hotel during our trip... it's a "hotel in a car park"... according to our tour guide, most of the celebrities likes to go to this hotel to avoid paparazzi.... cos, you can actually drive your car and park inside the garage right in front of your room... something interesting, huh ??
the biggest room and toilet with steam function.... it also has a jacuzzi for 2...
the car porch with a roller shutter.... complete privacy !!
which colour suites your mood ?? there's even a TV for us to watch while enjoying ourselves in the jacuzzi !!
some of the rooms also have this special massage chair... hahaa.... it's actually a S*X chair... it only moves front and back with different speed....
*faint*
some of the rooms even have karaoke system... !!! Mum sang a few songs... hehee..
it's already so late by then... we went back to our room to pack our stuff...
ZzzZZzzzzz...
