Sabah Trip - Part 1

Sabah Trip
21/09/12 - 23/09/12

- Part 1 -

it's my long awaited trip... and also my first visit to Sabah.... hehee... bought the air ticket during the Air Asia promotion somewhere back in February... oh yea, i wasn't pregnant yet during that time...

i was actually in my 3rd trimester when i fly this time... approximately 31 weeks... done some survey about travelling during pregnancy... hehee... earlier on, i've got my gynae to write me a letter stating about my health    condition... :)

there were altogether 13 adults + my lil boy... most of them were senior citizens... ranging from the youngest 2 years old to 70++... there're 2 groups, one group from Kepong and 3 of us from Cheras... our flight was 9.30am, so we met up at the airport around 7.30am...

 my tour mates... :P

 mum, Jor and me...

Jor trying to put the earphone into his ear...

soon enough, it was time to board our flight... i totally couldn't hear the announcement for the Hot Seat passengers... few days before the trip, i've upgraded my seat for a more comfy flight... no regret for that cos Jordan had 2 Hot Seats for him to sleep...

 the happy boy...

it took around two and half an hour to reach Kota Kinabalu airport... it was a small airport... we were greeted by our tour guide, Mr Tommy and he brought us for lunch at Kedai Kopi Wan Wan in one van and one Avanza...

famous for the fish head noodle...

the notty boy showing his skill... hahaa...

 cute Grandma and grandson... :)

yummy fish noodle...

fish head soup...

garoupa slices... counted by pieces... if not mistaken, it cost us RM2 per piece...

 Mr KBC...

 the dry mee hoon....

after lunch, we proceeded to the "Rumah Terbalik"... basically, they built the house upside down..

 the house...

even the car also upside down...

the entrance fee was RM 10 per person, none of us want to pay to enter the place... hehee...

next, we had barbeque "babi hutan" (wild boar) meat for tea time... haha....

 it's for non-muslim only !!

 bbq-ing...

honestly, the meat was not tender enough... but it tasted good...

then, we continued our journey to Mount Kinabalu... stopped halfway to buy some fresh vegetables for our steamboat dinner...

 choosing the vegetables...

 fresh from the farm... :)

checked in to Mount Kinabalu Heritage Hotel... it was very cold and windy... didn't expect it at all.. hahaa...

triple sharing for us...

rested a while and took our showers before headed for our Halal steamboat dinner... it was included in our tour it not itinerary... not good at all... hahaa... we even ordered some ala carte food... hehee...

 the plain steamboat...

 the condiments...

say hi !! they totally did not enjoy the dinner... hahaa...

after dinner, we gambled a while in one of the room before we hit the sack...

to be continued...
