- Final Part -

it's the last day of our short trip... woke up around 9-ish, packed our stuffs and checked out... then, we went to his Aunt's house again for Tea Ceremony...

after having our lunch there, we proceed to Kek Lok Si temple... our last stop before we headed back to KL....

so many tortoises... it's been quite some time i last visited them... they're so old now... hahaa....

it was a hot day... we couldnt stay there any longer and decided to have our lunch at Tambun, which is famous for seafood...

and, we went to this Mantis Shrimp Village.... i tell you, they should just change their name to Flies Village (Kampung Lalat)... scroll down, and you will know why...

first, they served us a plate of chilli padi... yes, if your eyes are sharp enough, there is a FLY , yes, it's a LALAT, standing on top of the chilli... and, another dead FLY lying beneath those chilli padi.... see the other black thingy on the right ?? sorry, i forgot to circle it !!

we ordered 3 dishes - the famous mantis prawn, one vege + tofu and fried tanghoon... overall, the food was ok, it's just the environment... imagine that you have to consistently wave or move your hands on top of the dishes to shoo away those disgusting and dirty flies ?!! it can be very frustrating and tiring !!! you have to always keep your eyes on your dishes, better be safe than sorry...

see this ?? that was our leftovers which we put at the side... in less than 5 secs, it has been conquered by at least 10 flies !!

and this.... i'm not too sure how many flies were trapped on this sheet.... and, most of the tables there has this thing on it.... but still, there're thousands of it still flying here and there...

closed up !!! scary SHIT !! anyone wanna order LALAT GORENG ???? i think it can be very crunchy and juicy perhaps ?? ~~

sorry to say, i wont go to that place anymore... it's my worst experience of eating with thousand and thousand of FLIES.... which i regretted very much...

next, we quickly made a move back to KL... there were so many cars on the highway... the traffic condition was really bad... even the R&R area was very packed and crowded... the whole journey back to KL took us more than 5 hours !! crazy !!

after stucked in the jam for so long, we decided to take a break at Sg Buloh Rest Area... and we had our dinner there - BURGER KING.... luckily, we managed to get a parking lot when we reached there...

it was a terrible journey back to KL, but we managed to reach home safely around 9-ish...

- Part 2 -

here comes Day 2 of my trip... we woke up quite late around 10am !! hehee... we went for breakfast at a coffee shop at Pulau Tikus... yea, the Island of Mouse... hahaa... it's the same coffee shop i went during my last trip...had lots of local delicacies... YUM YUMMY !!!!

after eating, we went to my Dear's aunt's house for a while before we went for shopping again... this time, we went to Gurney Plaza... my Dear bought me a purple handbag... :) :)

after having our late lunch, we went back to hotel... since it was a rainy day, it's the best time to get some rest and sleep in the room... :P my Dear tapao ice kacang for us...

a very nice & tasty Ice Kacang with Sarsi syrup.... No no, it doesnt come with this container... hahaa....

we took a short nap and went to E & O Hotel around 7pm... and, we took lotsa photos while waiting for the dinner to start... :) it's a great place to take photos...

it was raining again... we thought of having supper at Gurney Drive but the weather didnt allow us to do so... what a waste... !! ended up, we packed some food and eat in the hotel room... the very small room !!

ohh my God !! i've been eating non-stop since we reached Penang... i'm gonna be fat fat !!

Penang Trip

01/05/09 - 03/05/09

- Part 1 -

it was my second trip to Penang this year... went there end of March for Qing Ming festival... this time i went there with my Dear and his mum and sister to attend his cousin's wedding dinner... we left KL around 10-ish, and reached Penang around 2pm !! the traffic was quite bad and congested at some stretch of the PLUS highway... it was unavoidable cos it was a public holiday... everyone also wanna "BALIK KAMPUNG" !!

we've decided to stay at Tune Hotel for this trip... it was launched on 1st of April 2009... and it was still a very new hotel in Penang... two nights stay costs us RM150++... not so budgetted, right ?? we've added on a "12 hours" aircond for our stay... hahaaa...

we've entered a very small room with a comfy King Koil bed.... it's really so small, just half the size of the standard room in First World Hotel in Genting... didnt expect it to be that SMALL !! very limited space for walking... just nice for 2 persons....

high technology !! see the "Aircon: OFF" ??? it's the timer of the aircond that we're using... everytime we switch it on, it will deduct 5 mins from the total hours and minutes available... and, we didnt add-on the hairdryer... if not mistaken, it cost RM1 for the entire stay...


the toilet was quite clean... i think cos it's still very new... hahaa...

after resting for a while, we went to the New World Park next door.... it's not really a park with grass, playground and so on... it's something like Jaya One at Petaling Jaya.... we walked around and had some light food there....

next, we went for some shopping at Prangin Mall.... we walked till the sky turned dark... and, it was dinner time again.... a late dinner for me cos it was already 9pm !! we had Curry Fish Head at Gurney Drive...

Restaurant 77 @ Gurney Drive... the food was quite OK especially the Curry Fish Head... the signature dishes there... according to a waitress there, they had been there for 25 years...

after our heavy dinner, we went for some walk at Batu Ferringhi.... it was something like a pasar malam... but selling all kind of stuff such as fake branded stuff, souvenirs, clothes and so on...
