Kuching @ Sarawak Trip
01/11/08 - 03/11/08

Part I

yahooo... i'm travelling again... i'm flying again...

this time i went for a short trip to Kuching with Siau Hui... we didnt really plan for it... since i havent been to West Malaysia before, so i just take this opportunity to visit the Cat City... our flight was Saturday morning, took SkyBus to LCCT... slept all the way till we reach LCCT... hahaaa... both of us are piggies !!

reached Kuching International Airport around 10++... know what, we're in the same flight with Marion Caunter - the OSIM spokesperson !! tried a few attempt to snap her picture but failed miserably.. hahaaa....

Warning: This post may contains excessive photos, please be patience while the photos are being uploaded.... :)

this is the Pas Lawatan...

took lots of these brochures and guides... afterall, we're tourist ma... :P

guess what's our first breakfast in Kuching ????

tadaaa......

my all time favourite - McDonalds "BIG Breakfast" !!

then, we took a taxi out to city centre to check-in our "hotel"... we stayed at Singgahsana Lodge.. it's nearby Kuching Waterfront... quite a convenient place for tourist to stay in...

it's a budget "hotel"...

at Tua Pek Kong temple... just across the road from the place we stayed...

then, we walked over to the Chinese History Museum.... nothing much there, just snapped a few photos...

don't know what it's called, more than 100 years history..

it's made from Ivory...

some traditional musical instruments...

traditional wedding costumes and Lion dance...

next, we walked around Kuching Waterfront... it was a hot and sunny day !!

a pic of me...

we bought some drinks to quench our thirst and rested for a while + camwhore session before we continue our walking journey... !! hahaaa...

the tired Siau Hui...

Waterfront bazaar... we enjoyed the aircond here... heheee...

then, we took the perahu tambang to cross the Sarawak River... it cost us RM0.40, yes.... it's 40cents per trip... hahaa...what an experience...

me and the perahu....

me !!!

after some further walking, we decided to pay a visit to Cat Museum at Petra Jaya... it houses a large collection of cat memorabilia...

the big cat at the entrance...

muackss muackss....

me and the lovers cat...

lots of cards....

more and more catss......

a big fat kuching and the fat me !!!

nice building...

the building is located on top of a hill... since we took the public transport, we need to walk down to the nearest bus station... it took us around 15 mins walk under the hot sun...

*faint*

stopped halfway to take photos... nice scenery...??

at last... we're almost there...

took a van to Satok for the Sunday Market... it only cost us RM1.50 to Satok... although it's only Saturday, but the market is open from Saturday evening to Sunday afternoon...

we had our first Sarawak delicacies - malay-styled Mee Kolo ... yummy !!!

after our late lunch, we walked around the market... the market is so huge and it is divided into many sections such as food, fruits, vegetables, fishes, potted plants, jungle produce, pets, bundle clothing, magazines and even toys... both of us bought a dinner bag and some food for souvenirs... we took a van back to Waterfront...

resting time... waiting for the sunset...

us at Waterfront... it was Hilton Hotel behind us...

we walked back to our hotel and cleaned up ourselves... then, Joe and his colleague, Adrian brought us out for dinner...

i ordered Kolo mee again, this time it comes with Char Siu.. and Siau Hui tried the Tomato Noodle... it tasted so so only...

here comes the great thing - Teh C Special... i luv it !!

after dinner, we went for a drink at Terminal (if not mistaken)... we watched some football matches also...
red-light zone ?? hahaaa...

the cute Adrian... :P

Joe sent us back after that...

dead tired...
