PDM - CNY Dinner @ Equatorial Hotel

it's my company CNY dinner... we had it in Golden Phoenix at Equatorial Hotel... Doris came all the way from Singapore to join us for the dinner... hehee...

it was actually a busy day for some of them... we waited till almost 9pm for the dinner to start... we ordered the CNY Set Menu @ RM 988++ !!!

Yee Sang with Fuji apple and Norwegian Salmon... we added the abalone... :P

Braised Shark's fin with crab meat and sliced fish lips, wok grass prawn fritters, crispy chicken in Thai Style and braised dried oyster, sea moss and black mushroom with broccoli !

Steamed promfret with superior soy sauce, fragrant fried rice with garlic and diced chicken, double boiled snow fungus and sesame dumpling in ginger tea.... we had deep fried nian gao with yam and Mochi....

went for a CNY dinner with my Dear's friend at Jun Kee Restaurant again... it was my 4th visit there... hehee...

my 5th or 6th or 7th Lou Sang this CNY... ???

we didnt order the CNY set menu.... had the assam prawn, tofu, YUMMY pork rib, vegetables and salty egg bittergourd... not forgetting a steamed fish....

it's the 6th day of CNY... and my sis's birthday fall on the 19th of February... so we decided to celebrate it in Melaka - the historical city.... it's also a small family gathering...

after having breakfast at Kepong, we headed to Melaka in 3 cars.... reached there in 2 hours, quickly checked-in to our apartment at Garden City Apartment, Melaka Raya...

it was quite rushing for us cos i've already bought 14 movie tickets for 2.20pm show at Pahlawan Mall.... hahaaa... we don't even have the time to have lunch... just had some hotdogs and drinks in the cineplex...

after the movie, we walked over to Jonker Street.... actually only the youngster walked, i brought the "aunties" on the trishaw ride... hahaa... it cost us RM10 for around 1km ride.... :P

we had an early dinner at Hoe Kee chicken rice.... my Godparent reached just in time for the dinner...

after 2 hours walk, we went back to our apartment... to give my sis a surprise... so-called surprise la... hahaa...

we had lunch at a Nyonya Restaurant nearby....

after lunch, we drove around looking for "Eye on Malaysia"... and found out that it stopped operating for around a month... we heard that it's something to do with unpaid "debt"... hahaa...

nothing much to do, and we headed home separately...

opppss... i seriously have not much photo to update... cos i was just too lazy... yet to get those photos from my cousin... nothing much on Day 2 actually... stayed at my uncle's house most of the time - GAMBLING... and had a homecooked reunion buffet dinner... heheee...

when the night falls.....

it's time for firework/firecracker.... they actually tried to form the word "I LOVE U"

so funny...

then, few of us went to Ipoh town to meet up with Daniel Fong... and Maxis totally sucked - the service was down for the whole night...

we even looked for a public phone to call Daniel F....

had some "black" juice at a pub called Sugar...

woke up early and had breakfast at the market.... as usual, we went to the Old Folks Home near the market to give out angpows and oranges to the elderly....

my Dear also took part...

went back, packed our stuff and headed back to KL....

more backdated post coming up... heheee... honestly, i didnt take much photo this CNY... it's the first CNY after my married life... :P

it's the same like previous year, we had the "Reunion dinner Lunch" with my uncle and his family members... at the same place - Restoran Kok Hing... but it's the first year without my Dad... :(

anyway, life must go on... let's move on...

started off with Yee Sang....

the messier it is, the better.... :P

this year, my uncle ordered the set meal as well... if not mistaken, it was the RM399 or RM499 set... forgotten already... hahaa...

some seafood soup, chicken, fish, 2 varieties of prawns...

pork knuckle, taufu, vegetables and Waxed Meat Rice...

this year, we had Jack & Jay... the double "J"...

it's a totally different CNY for me... no more waking up early and visiting my relatives house... i woke up around 9-ish... greeted my parent-in-law... and had breakfast at home...

around noon, we decided to give a surprise to my mum... we went to "Pai Nien" at my relative's house... hehee...
