my mum's birthday falls on 20th of August but my dad will be away to Ipoh on that day... so, we just had a simple dinner together last night... :)

know what, i'm so careless... i actually brought the camera with me... but my sis was charging the battery at home... grrrr, ended up, i just took some photos with my N81...

we had Salmon sushi, Soft shell crab maki, Inari beancurd, kani salad sushi, kaki furai (deep fried osyter), edamame and fried bittergourd with egg....

the dinner cost us RM 150++ only... hehee... we left the place around 9.30pm for the LIVE FINAL badminton match between Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei... :P but, too bad... he lost the match... anyway, he did put up a good fight till the end of the match...

congratsss to Lee Chong Wei for winning a SILVER medal for MALAYSIA !!

this year, we didnt buy a cake for mum... instead, my sis made a jelly and put a candle on top of it... :)

and, that ends the night....

Sushi Zanmai Revisited

just back from One Utama not long ago... had dinner at Sushi Zanmai with my classmate cum college mate cum good friend, Siew Wai aka Miyuki.... we've been studying in the same high school and also took the same course in the same college but in different batch.... hehee...

nothing much, we just chit chatted and updated each other after so long... we almost lost contact after graduated from college... thanks to Friendster and Facebook, we are now keeping in touch with each other... hahaaa... * lame lame *

i first tried Sushi Zanmai at Sunway Pyramid... this outlet here at One Utama has a open concept which is different from the one in Pyramid..

i ordered Sashimi Salad for myself and Siew Wai had Chicken Curry Katsu... you can see 2 different pic of Soft Shell Crab Maki... the one below looked more appetizing, nevertheless, both tasted the same... Y.U.M.M.Y !!! heheee....

Lee's Surprise Dinner

Lee's Surprise B'day Dinner @ My ELEPHANT, Section 17

wow.... time flies...

last year, Wen Shing organised a surprise Karaoke+Birthday celebration for Lee at Redbox, The Curve.. and this year, another surprise for him... a delightful Thai cuisine with many good friends around at My Elephant at Section 17... heheee... something similar to Ng's surprise birthday dinner, which was organised by Bee Fong, also at a Thai Restaurant at Kepong... My Elephant was located in the middle of a quiet block at Happy Mansion...

we received instruction from Wen Shing to reach earlier at 6pm... but most of them were late... reaching aroung 6.30 - 6.45pm... the last few to reach were Daniel C and wife and Mun Choon and gf... we waited for them before we started eating...

simple decorations... there's a tatami seating at one corner... and there's a fish pond outside...

appetizer... oppss, i forgot to write down the name of the dishes... hehee... it's something you wrap with the leaf and dip the sauce... hahaa...

we ordered lots of food, mainly 2 portions each except for the fish... 2 different type of fish - Snow Fish and Thai Steamed Siakap Fish... the Duck curry was quite nice and special cos it comes with lychee, but kinda expensive... for a small bowl like that, it cost us RM50 per bowl (by the way, we ordered the BIG portion)... not forgetting, the Tom Som, something different from Tom Yam... it was some sourish clear soup with fish fillet and osyter mushroom... good for digestion, rite ??

Alice & Wilson Farewell @ Scarlet, Cineleisure

after watching the Beijing Olympic 2008 Grand Opening at my uncle's house, i went to Cineleisure again....

phew, another farewell party... this time it was Alice and Wilson's farewell... the last farewell was held at Scarlet as well, for Jeffrey & Ice.... and not forgetting, Siau Hui's birthday celebration was also in Scarlet... hahaa.... but, i think this gonna be the last farewell for Electcoms people.. most of them left already, and me not so close with the new staffs... hahaa... good thing, isnt it ?? before that, some of them went for dinner together at Food Foundry, but i only joined them second round... :)

okay, enough said... let's move on with photos... none of them bring a camera so, we just took some with Siau Hui's Sony Ericsson phone... :)

this afternoon, i went to Maybank branch at Ampang Park for some office stuff... had lunch at Cozy Corner with John... heard that there is another branch at Jaya 33, PJ...

nothing much to write... just took some photos with my N81... hehee...

cosy and warm ambience... the concept is almost the same as Cable Car Restaurant in Jaya Shopping Centre...

Mission Zero Launching

last Friday, there was a Mission Zero launching at Park Royal Hotel by our carpet supplier - Carpet Ideas/Interface Flor... last year, we attended their product launching at Novotel Hotel.... this time, me, Bok and Rachel took a cab there in the morning since we're late... there're 2 sessions of talk.... and some presentation of their latest product after the talk... the whole event was mainly about recycle and energy conservation....

creative and unique decorations made from carpets and recycle items...

earh of us were given a big recycle bag as door gift... it can be used both side... after the launching, we're invited for a buffet lunch at Chatz Brasserie at Lower Lobby... we're too busy eating till we forget to snap any photo of ourselves... :P

my favourites: big prawns, slices of unagi, baby octopus and smoked salmons...

actually we had more than that including Häagen-Dazs super premium ice cream for desserts, but lazy to take photos... hahaa....

after much eating and eating, our supplier asked their driver to sent us back to office...
